BIO

 Meet Lakius, a three-piece heavy metal band from the vibrant city of Auckland, New Zealand. Formed 2019 by Broken Season founder Tony Charles (vocals, guitar,programming),Ross (Drums) and Cory (guitar,bv,bass). 

 In the winter of ‘23 whilst hunting the elusive 7 string guitar string sets of strings, for guitars none the less , in the urban wasteland of Auckland Central, fate thrust its destinied self across the lads paths and hadst them  re united with their long lost-long haired- metal brother in arms, Ross (drums, JustOneFix,Enoch,Silent Torture)to complete the lineup, and bring balance to the realm!

 Lakius quickly became known as  New Zealand's 4th best post-industrial/groove-metal duo with their debut single, Student of Fools  2019, followed by Kaos High in 2020. During the global pandemic of 2020 Lakius were separated by distance, and quarantine style nation wide lockdown. 

Tony continued writing, whilst Cory continued his search for The Ross. Isolation led the duo down a more industrial path, with This Tension  2021. The Ross was still lost, but his memory lived on in the hearts of the lads dreams….

Condemning large corporate structures that corrupt those in power! Was a subject lightly touched on in the August 2023 feel good release Love The Firm. 

19 May ‘24  was a highlight for Lakius fans across the globe, with the new single  ‘Hammer of Witches (Chapter 2)’  welcoming us to the 2024 Witch Trials.
